The "Art of Communication" is alive and well on "The Main Line"
Meet Pat Moyer

The "art of communication" fuels Realtor ® Pat Moyer and, literally, opens doors for her valued customers in the counties of Montgomery, Chester and Delaware, and on what is known in suburban Philadelphia as " The Main Line."

She is the consummate, confident communicator, having ranked in the top 6% of Prudential agents, nationally, as knowledgeable, professional and, most of all, persistent in delivering "service beyond expectation" and as remaining "calm under fire"!

Teaching and Talking

For as long as she can remember, teaching and communicating have been major parts of her life! As a "master relocationist", she brings her past experience as a teacher of languages (French and Spanish) to bear in her business, making a point to not only hear what her clients outwardly request, but to also intuit their needs and preferences. To some, her approach to real-estate may seem charmingly old-fashioned because she prides herself, first and foremost, on providing service to the client to help them find exactly what they want.

The Art of Relocation

Having lived abroad in London, England, she has tremendous empathy for clients facing the mammoth tasks involved in relocating and adjusting to new surroundings and, in many cases, new lifestyles.

When her husband announced that he had accepted a career move to England, Pat's world was turned upside down. After retiring from teaching and relishing the joys of motherhood as a stay-at-home Mom for her five-year-old son, the thought of moving around the corner was unsettling, to say the least. But theirs was a move to another country!

She vividly recalls taking inventory of the contents of her entire home to compile a list for Customs. "You haven't lived until you have cataloged the contents of your entire kitchen. By the time I was finished, I was sitting on a gold mine of whisks and spatulas, whose total worth was in the thousands. And that's not even counting the measuring cups and Pyrex bowls," Pat recalls, with her characteristic dry sense of humor.

The Lure of Real Estate

When the Moyers returned to the United States, Pat was disheartened to learn that no one wanted to hire "an overqualified foreign language teacher". A friend in real-estate suggested that she take courses and earn her license. She liked people, she liked to talk, she liked houses. She got her license.

Pat's curiosity and desire to keep learning about people and the world around her is ongoing. "What motivates me are the nuts and bolts involved in selling, including the psychological factors that characterize each client and each sale," she says.

Life Long Learning

Her passion is learning everything she can about each move to, from or within the Main Line area for domestic and/or international clients, alike, as she diligently delves into finding out what a client wants and needs.

She asks questions and narrows a client's focus to realistic choices and outcomes. She has a sharp, working knowledge of the marketplace and is a top-notch negotiator.

"I look forward to the unique challenges posed by each potential sale. I hear and listen to what clients want, and I also read between the lines," she says.

She continues to teach as a real estate instructor and mentor of new agents in her area. She says she enjoys teaching the code of ethics to people who are not yawning during her classes, which tells her that she has succeeded in making it interesting and relevant to everyday business.

"Learning new things, especially in this business, has turned me into a techno-junkie. I love finding out how to successfully put programs and technology to use in my business," adds Pat.

The Art of Choosing the Right Agent

Finding the right real estate agent for you is not magic or hocus-pocus. Buying or selling a home is an enormously important life decision. You need to have all the facts and feel comfortable with them before taking that final step. Having complete confidence in your agent, goes a long way.
