Home to Bryn Mawr College and my favorite movie theatre, The Bryn Mawr Film Institute. It was rescued from becoming a sports center and is being refurbished by local organizations and members. A great example of what a community can do to preserve what's important to its local culture. They have great programs for kids interested in film and show the best movies - current and classic.
Bryn Mawr is a town where you can park your car and walk to dinner, the movies, shops, the library, the post office and the R5 train to Philadelphia.
Bryn Mawr Hospital is here too. They've undergone an incredible expansion program over the last few years too.
Harriton High School (Lower Merion Township) is in Bryn Mawr. A huge building project is making this a beautiful new school.
Here's where the school district thing gets tricky. You can have a Bryn Mawr address and go to either Lower Merion, Radnor or Haverford School District schools. It just depends on the township you live in with a Bryn Mawr post office.
