The town of Paoli dates back to the 18th century and has history connected to General George Washington's stay at nearby Valley Forge. Today, those who live in Paoli have easy access to Center City Philadelphia, as well as we the surrounding business centers. The train from Paoli takes you to 30th Street Station in Philadelphia in about forty-five minutes, depending on the number of stops. Amtrak also stops at Paoli so that trip to New York City can start very close to home.

Paoli is part of two local school districts. Both of these school districts, Tredyffrin-Easttown School District and Great Valley School District, are much sough after by families relocating to the area, as well as those moving from neighboring school districts. Willistown township is the only township in Paoli attending Great Valley Schools.
